Our Response Process

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notification, Qreporter.com will take the following actions:

  • We will promptly remove or disable access to the material that is claimed to be infringing.
  • We will notify the user who posted the content that we have removed or disabled access to the material.
  • For repeat infringers, we reserve the right to terminate their accounts and prevent future contributions to the site.

Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe that the material you posted was removed or access was disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with our Copyright Agent.

Your written counter-notification must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location (URL) at which the material appeared before it was removed or access was disabled.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which Qreporter.com may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original copyright infringement notification or an agent of such person.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward a copy to the original complaining party. This informs them that we may replace the removed material or cease disabling it in 10 business days. Unless our Copyright Agent receives notice that the original complaining party has filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the user from engaging in infringing activity, we may replace the removed material and restore access within 10 to 14 business days.

Please be aware that making false claims in a DMCA notice or counter-notification may lead to liability for damages. We suggest consulting with legal counsel if you are unsure whether content is infringing.

Qreporter.com reserves the right to amend this DMCA policy at any time. We recommend that visitors review this page periodically for any updates.
